Nintendo going VR

Nintendo representatives were looking at eMagin’s Z800 3D Visor, which uses VR technology. The item’s resemblance to the ill-fated Virtual Boy is unmistakable, and reports say that Nintendo has already purchased several of the Z800 units and expressed interest in the technology. This news comes courtesy of Nintendojo.com and other various websites. What is going on?

It seems unlikely that the VR applications of eMagin’s visor can be utilized in time to make Revolution’s launch, but the fact that Nintendo, as well as other software and hardware makers, is showing such interest in the process could offer a hint about the future of gaming. Can you imagine actually jumping into the mushroom kingdom, or being in Hyrule?!?!?!

DS SP?

It seems that a redesign for Nintendo DS is on the horizon. According to Famitsu we can see the new design for the DS possibly spring of this year. No word as to exactly when, but as soon as we here something, we’ll let you know. Thanks for checking this out. What do you guys think? Does the DS need a redesign or is it fine the way it is?
