When Iwata talks, Wii Listen

Iwata on Wii controller - “The current design for game controllers was determined by Nintendo, so some of our staff disagreed with changing it. Yet after some hands-on time with the prototypes, we knew we had a working formula. That is why I declared at last year’s E3 that revolutionary interfaces will bring change to future games.”

Iwata on WiiConnect24 - “Let’s say your Wii is connected to the Internet in a mode that allows activation on a 24-hour basis. This would allow Nintendo to send monthly promotional demos for the DS, during the night, to the Wii consoles in each household. Users would wake up each morning, find the LED lamp on their Wii flashing, and know that Nintendo has sent them something. They would then be able to download the promotional demo from their Wii’s to their Nintendo DS’s.”

I am really intrigued by the connect24 that Nintendo is promoting with Wii. More positive notes on Wii.

Nintendo Advertisement

Quick update: Just sending you guys a cool little update; I went to Aim Express and an advertisement for Nintendo’s next “touch generation” Big brain academy popped up. It seems as though Nintendo is really pushing the successful franchise hear in the states as well. The first game sold 90,000 copies and was the #1 seller in April for handhelds. If you have never played a brain age game, go pick one up. They’re only 20 bucks and you will have a blast playing it. Non-gamers flock to this game like crazy.
