Wii’s in Production

Apparently Nintendo has been producing its 5th entry into the console wars since June 21. This hot rumor stems from stems from CNNMoney.com. They were reporting that the Nintendo Wii is in fact in production and has been since June 21. This quote comes from P.J. McNealy of American Technology Research. They also predict that this move will give the Wii at least one-month headstart before Sony launches the PS3, November 17. This would pin the release date for Nintendo Wii around mid-October. Nintendo is you can hear me, my birthday is the 19th! Game ON!

Wii in September?

The following story was taken from 1up.com. Here is what they had to report:

Nintendo has yet to announce the shipping date or price for Wii, but Satoru Iwata’s omments about a release by Thanksgiving indicated the company would be delivering their console right around the time Sony was planning on releasing PlayStation 3 in November. CNN/Money, however, hears differently.
Chris Morris believes Wii will arrive in October, and possibly even as early as late September. As the article points out, Nintendo’s traditionally launched outside of the November window. The company did release GameCube around Thanksgiving, however, and we all know how well that console’s done.

We’re supposed to hear about Wii’s release and pricing by the end of September, which means we won’t be waiting much longer.

As much as I would love to be playing my Nintendo Wii in September, my money is still on early November. As always we will be here to keep you updated. What do you guys think?
