Mortal Kombat Controls

The following was taken from Kotaku. Here is what they had to report for the newly announced Mortal Kombat for Wii:

A tipster sends us word of how he’s been told the Wii controls will work for Mortal Kombat when it hits the Nintendo console.

The basic “concept” is that the Wiimote will control arm actions, while the Nunchaku will take on leg actions.
Light and heavy kicks, for example, will be done with the C and Z triggers on the Nunchaku. The analog stick lets you run (free roaming stages, similar to last two games). Finally, jumping is done by nudging the Nunchaku upwards…

    This sounds kind of complicated to me…

    I’ve been playing fighting games for so long that anything other than the “traditional” method seems very awkward. I’ll be getting the PS2 Collector’s version of MKA myself.

    It will be interesting to see how Wii tackles fighters.

    I was kind of hoping that we could use the “normal” controller for this one.
