Wii Graphics Debate

Wow. Click hereto read an amazing article about how Gamecube had/has great graphics and that everyone needs to watch what they say. Anyone who is worried about how Wii games will look, don’t. We are going to be just fine come November. Here is a quote from the article:
Over the past month or year, people on videogame forums and on the internet in general have been complaining about the Wii and its so-called low power that is considered weak when compared to the other next-gen systems. They seem to think that the games will just look like crap when compared to the PS3 and Xbox360. Let me ask you now to go back and play some of the best looking Gamecube games like Starfox Adventures, Resident Evil 4, Rouge Squadron 2 and Rebel Strike and tell me that you are not impressed by what that system can/could do
Well put metaldave. I hope that a ton if people link to your story.

I wrote this on Metaldave aswell.
This is my first time posting on your blog. I’v been here many times but there has never been anything that really grabbed my attention until this article.
I agree with you. But when people go to a game store and see PS360 (PS3 & 360) graphics and look over to Wii. They will be very dissappointed. The truth is that many games store clerk always diss Nintendo. So when someone looks at PS360 graphics and looks at Wii graphics they will ask the clerk about Wii. 9 times out of 10 they aren’t even going to talk about out how innovative the system is. Rather they will tell them look at that ugly control and how stupid it is. And continue making fun of Nintendo.
Compare Zelda TP to Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion (on the 360) which one looks better? I want a truthful answer.
The truth is Nintendo only has innovation on their side. Nintendo will need to market that innovation if the Wii is going to be successful. People are looking for better graphics but at the same time people are also looking to have fun.
This is something that happen to me while I was shopping with my girl. We were at our local mall and I decided to make a stop at gamestop. I was talking to the clerk about Wii. These are his exact words “Wii what a stupid name, the conrollor is so stupid. I can’t believe Nintendo is still making games”. I was like what are you talking about. And this SOB had the nerve to say “when is Nintendo going out of business”. My girl saw how pissed I was, she grabbed me and we left the store. That’s the type of ignorance I was talking about. A lot of gamers don’t know much so when they go to a gamestore like GameStop and listen to ignorant people talk like that they believe everything they hear.
I’v been a Nintendo fan since 1985. For me Wii is everything a Nintendo fan has ever wanted wrapped into one beautiful package. I don’t care how weak the system is. But Nintendo should care cause there are alot of people who are going to criticizes the Wii just because the graphics aren’t like PS360. It’s already going on with developers. Like I said Nintendo needs to market Wii’s innovation. Nintendo needs to do what Microsoft did with 360. Have MTV special on Wii.
I agree truthkilla. Nice comment. I love what my man metaldave said. I have posted on my blog why power isn’t always so great. Alot of people out there want to put Sony on a pedastal. Sony wouldn’t even be making consoles if it wasn’t for Nintendo. People forget that. I can’t find any reason to get a 360. I already have a computer why do I need a 360? The ps3 is just another media hub also.
I am so sick and tired of pointing out facts to people about Nintendo that I just say anymore screw em. If people haven’t caught on to how much potential the Wii has they haven’t been watching Nintendo at all.
I remember not to long ago people saying the Tampa Bay Bucs would never go to a super bowl.I also remember people saying that the New England patriots wouldn’t ever go to a super bowl. Morons I tell you. The facts were there it wasn’t hard to see that those teams when they went to the bowl had what it took.
It’s not hard now to see that Nintendo has what it takes to win it’s own super bowl. They have great third party support going for them this round, great innovation, and a game lineup that will make me broke this year. People sometimes just can’t see a winner when the facts are in front of their eyes.
I have always said fear the underdog they are always comming ready to play. I have heard people saying the Wii is clearly the underdog and has no chance. Defeat comes easily to those who hold their heads a little to high. Nintendo has come to play and if peolpe can’t see that this time sit on the sidelines and be prepared to be shocked
You two make me realize just how fortunate i am to have realised the beauty that is Nintendo. You have no idea how repetitive things were getting. I was just about to give up gaming COMPLETELY, untill i heard about the Wii. FPS, Platformers, Football, Basketball, even RPG’s were getting old and rusty. The same gameplay, but just different stories. I started feeling that i had Done it all. I found myself picking up a game for no more than 15minutes and already knowing what the whole experience would feel like. They were some good times, where i got blown away by either the graphics or a little bit of innovation added to the game to make it different, but in the end It all felt the same. Your body remembers things it felt longer than things it sees. Thats why up till now, Golden Eye on N64 is still regarded as the best Bond game to date. Because of its innovative and addictive gameplay and controls. All the bond games Ea have made look ALOT better than golden eye, but the gameplay was nothing new. Alot of other games had already done what it did. And @ truthkilla, i have played Oblivion, and i must say the graphics and scale are SPECTACULAR, but the gameplay is dead BORING. Unlike Zelda, the graphics are AWESOME, and gameplay is fantastic. I’m not saying this because im a Nintendo Fan, but because When Nintendo make games, they balance the experience. They make sure no aspect is lacking. Both the gameplay and graphics are balanced equally. But with the Wii, they seem to be cranking it up a notch. As well as the graphics being amazing (as usual), the gameplay is going to be Unforgetable.
