Is Nintendo about to Shoot the Moon?

The following story was from LoyalN. We are doing a pair of “guest” post and we are honored to have him write this quality story for our site. Thanks again LoyalN and make sure all of you visit his great site. Let him know we sent ya!

“First off I want to thank gameon for letting me guest post. This is a great honor for me. I admire this site a lot. Now on to what I have to say. I have been seeing a lot of posts around the net popping up about Nintendo could lose here or there. I have been reading a lot of doubting Thomas posts lately. I have some fire to throw back.

I want to ask has anyone ever played the card game of hearts? Hearts is a great card game I enjoy. I used to play it with my buddies in drama class all the time. The object is try not to get the queen of spades or the hearts in your hands because they count as points against you. If you get all the hearts in your hand and the queen of spades it’s called shooting the moon. When you do that you give everyone else points but you. That is all you need to know about hearts for now. I ask now is Nintendo about to shoot the moon then or end up with point against them?

Hearts requires strategy to shoot the moon. Nintendo has been doing nothing but strategy to shoot the moon. Let me point out to you why Nintendo is about to shoot the moon. This is for anyone who doubts them after seeing what they did at E3. Nintendo played their first card when they showed us the system. All they showed us then was pretty sleek black box and we were told it would be backward compatible all the way to the nes. Nintendo didn’t show us a controller at that time. That was left in the air for us to wonder what they had up their sleeves.

We soon learned what they had up their sleeves. I still remember seeing that video of the controller. I thought they were out of their minds at first when they said it was motion controlled. Then I started to in vision how it could work and it made perfect sense.

The next card they threw out was a big one. They showed up to E3 and not only came to the show but took it as well. They gave us a few cards at E3 showing us the game line up. They showed how the controller would play with games. They started a stampede and caused lines that took 3 to 4 hours to get through. Last of all but not least they took home awards from the show. That should have been all we needed to see to know they are going somewhere. Never in the history of E3 has any console did what Nintendo did. I had no doubts after E3 and I still don’t that this console is the next big thing.

Nintendo still has few cards to play but so far just like the game of hearts if you start out right you can almost tell at the end that you are going to shoot the moon. Nintendo has the card to play now of price and launch date.

Then the card of launching itself. If the Wii can sell on the market without a big problem of shortages or problems with the consoles themselves they will be sitting pretty. I see the games coming already and with the third party support they have gained they can really go places. The Playstation 3 already is seems to be facing shortage issues. I may be wrong there but the ps2 had problems at first out of the gate. The 360 has caught up from it’s shortages now and they seem to have taken care of the overheating problems with the consoles for now.

Nintendo has a good track record of launching without to long of a period of shortages. They also do well on launching systems that don’t have big problems. The only problem the ds lite faced at launch was the crack in the hinge. It’s annoying but it won’t ruin your system. The way I see it Nintendo hasn’t quite shot the moon yet but they are well on their way.

Thanks again to game on and I have one more question to ask. If Bowser had kids in Super Mario bros 3 shouldn’t there be a mrs in Bowser’s life? Last of all but not least whatever happened to the koopa kids? I just want to see if anyone has any answers for me”.

Thanks again LoyalN.

Wow,that was a good topic to read.
Really im hoping that everything goes well for the BIG “N” on the launch of the wii,i will be there from day one buying it w/3 or 4 games and 1 extra controller and a 4gig or 8 gig?.So far they have been on the right track and everyone has been talking nonstop about the way we will play and feel. But nintendo has that rough road ahead of them in the coming 2/3 months and that is when we will know how it will go down (the responds from the media, people on the price, release date and games.

About bowser having a girl they never explained it.I always thought bowser in a strange way test-tubed the kids from peach’s eggs,(i dont know just my guess.
