Elebits Online?

The following rumor was taken from the good guys over at Nwiizone. In their latest post they talk about the possibility of Konami’s Elebits being online through Nintendo Wi-Fi. Here is the story:

During Konami?s Summer BBQ 2006 event in San Francisco, California late last week, AMN had the chance to talk to Denis Lee, Group Marketing Manager at Konami, about the company?s unique upcoming Nintendo Wii game, Elebits.

During their discussions with Lee, he revealed that online play is not totally out of the question for Elebits, but Konami is not talking about the subject just yet.

?The team is looking into online and trying to find out what the best kind of gameplay they can get into the game is and still make launch window. We’re working on a few ideas, but we’re not talking about online specifically,? he told AMN during the interview

My Thoughts:
I am unaware on how the online setup would work with this game, however it may give the title a much needed edge to help it stand out from the rest of the quality titles that Wii will offer. With Nintendo’s recent statements of 3rd party titles not being Wi-Fi compatable until 2007, we may indeed see a delay in the games launch.
