I hope the lighting is as good as in that bamboo pic (look at Team Fortress, Doom 3, or Wind Waker– lighting will be the defining aspect of “next gen”), but I’m still most worried about the controls. I almost feel I would rather control the character with a dpad to be able to use two remotes; one for sword control and the other for mo-cap camera contros.
Some players would turn and point at the same time and be able to turn faster. Others may play keeping the right arm steady with the cross hair in the center while pointing the left arm to turn the character.
Specifically though I want Red Steel to have an option for one to one sword controls, something you couldn’t simulate with an analog stick in a port.
I am afraid what we may learn from this game is that sword fighting with the remote is best not in first person.
