Gamecube Not Dead?

Hey shooter fans, it appears that there is a brand new game coming out for….The Gamecube. You can pick up the title next month for $19.99! Here is a quote from the article:

With the prices that you can sell a GameCube title for, its a lot more reasonable currently than going with the Wii, which of course is a lot more expensive for us to garner [titles for] and also a lot more expensive for the customer to buy.

Mii oh My; Oh the Possibilities

Does Nintendo realize what they have in regards to their imaginative “Mii” channel. Now I am sure that the creative minds over at the big N had big plans when it decided to incorporate the Mii channel but do you gamers think that the channel will ever reach its ultimate potential?

I ran an article a while back dissecting the brilliance that I have found in the Mii channel and discussed how truly innovative it is and how it could make a huge difference during this generation of video game consoles. By having the Wii incorporate a channel that makes miniature caricatures of friends and family members, opens the floodgates for creative minds and a new genre of games.

I strongly encourage developers to exploit this gem by making games based around this specific Wii channel. Heck, don’t stop there; make games that incorporate ALL of the embedded Wii channels. Imagine, if you will, a game that utilized REAL weather that was going on in your local area via the weather channel through your system. How cool and innovative would that be?

If it was a cold snowy day (much like today for us in NY), the game would have snowflakes sprinkling the entire screen during gameplay. Endless possibilities gamers. Do you see where I am going with this? I truly believe that I am only scratching the surface of a mammoth amount of innovation that could truly take place if the developers put their minds to it.

Can anyone say “Mii RPG?” or how about “Mii FPS?” or try this one, “Mii Kart Racing?”

Nintendo hire me now. LOL. What do you guys think? I look forward to hearing from you.

New FPS on the Way?

The following is an excerpt from IGNs latest N-Query:

lets just say were hearing rumblings of Wii-specific versions of at least one of the main FPS franchises out there. Oh, and when we say Wii-specific we dont mean tacked on controls that claim to make it a new experience. Were talking an immersive, competitive experience built from the ground up for Wii.

All I can say is interesting….. We all know that Metroid is going to rock our world but am I clueless as to what title this could be. Will it play online? If I were to venture a guess, the only title that comes to mind is a Timesplitters game. What do you guys think?

More Titles Coming to Wii

Quick Update: It seems like the Wii is going to be the place for all of your gaming needs. Not only does it provide an amazing experience, a web browser and much more, it’s going to have a TON of games. The ESRB has now confirmed Wing Island and Kororinpa are coming stateside. I personally would love to try out Kororinpa as it seems to be a perfect fit for the innovative wiimote. More as it develops.
