In a financial report released today, the company detailed the successes of both platforms so far, announcing Wii has sold 5.84 million units worldwide since launch and Nintendo DS continues trailblazing with a whopping 40 million hardware units — 23 million this year alone — in gamer’s hands.Software sales are equally as impressive: New Super Mario Bros. with 9.5 million, and the brain training series at 12 million in total, 8.08 sold this year.
