According to an article on G4TV.? Take Two has pushed the realease date of Manhunt 2 from July 10 to an undetermnined date.? Do you think they will be watering it down or is this the death of the Manhunt 2 game?? let us know.

You’ve forgotten one option. They are reportedly protesting the AO rating and the ban in European nations and I remember reading that they were going to pull it from that launch day to protest things and then release it a few weeks later, or a month or so later should it need to be edited.
So, I don’t think it is the death and I think they are probably working on plans to water it down, but their pushing the launch date back to protest and find out which option they can pursue.
I know but I like to build suspense!!! I know they are going to re-release but, will they water it down?

I’m expecting them to water down, even if it does get knocked down to M. They won’t have to edit it as much, I don’t think. But as it is now, I don’t see a release in its current state in the near or far future.
My guess is that they will likely do what Midway did with the original sega genesis version of Mortal Kombat 1 back in 1993. They took out the blood and changed some finishing moves to get the MA 13 rating but then put in a special code to unlock the blood and more gruesome finishing moves. I suspect take two will likely water down Manhunt 2 for an M rating but have a special code to unlock the unedited version of the game. That’s at least what they SHOULD do.
