IGN has sources that seem to think so. Since Beautiful Katamari was said to be in development, many in the industry were both hoping for and expecting a Wii version. Some time ago earlier this year, the game was officially announced for the PS3 and Xbox 360, skipping over the Wii. But according to their sources, IGN reports that the developing team was running into unexpected problems on the PS3 build and were discouraged by the lack of sales.

Enter Wii, which is still selling out to this day in most places. They rethought their previous decision and are now rumored to be developing a new Wii version to make use of the Wiimote to its fullest.
