As if Nintendo hasn’t packed enough into Super Smash. Bros Brawl already, rumour has it that a new WiiWare channel will soon be launching to provide players with a host of downloadable extras.
N-Sider forum member ‘«???»’ reports that the new channel will be named Super Smash Bros. Brawl: New Challenger and will allow gamers to download the likes of new characters, stages, music, trophies and stickers. They won’t be available for nothin’, mind you. The site also reports that the additional extras will be payable for with Wii Points.
Given that we know Nintendo plans to host a daily user-created SSBB-created level at some point in the future, does this make the existence of a new channel more feasible?
If the rumour does turn out to be true, would you be welcoming of it - even if it does mean paying for extras?

IT IS FAKE! Although it IS an interview with Sakurai, it has NO mention at all to Downloadable Content. Don’t get your hopes up for anything like this.
well, if it’s indeed a fake, I still have the hopes of metaknight, sonic, and pokemon trainer to fall back on, but it would be nice to see roy or mewtwo brought back, because I liked them too. But it wouldn’t surprise me to see this channel, because when you think about it, there’s way too much possibility and all the content that we currently know about to cram all in one disk, so I would be totally willing to clear all my memory off my wii and clear my 2 gb sd card, and even pay the extra (purely guess) $6 a pop for some extra content.

Personally, I’d welcome this. I think it’d be easy to store the custom made levels on such a channel, new levels would rock, and new characters would always be an amazing addition although I think new assist trophies are more likely, honestly. =P
I’d also pay for it, I suppose. I think that Nintendo could make a little $5 bundle or whatever that comes with a new level, character, and item.
