GCN controller for the Japanese

Posted on Apr 9, 2008 09:43:31 PM

Japanese GCN controller

In what is an almost-but-not-completely-awesome move, Nintendo has announced that they will start making GameCube controllers again in Japan. Makes sense, Smash Bros and Mario Kart have both created huge demand for the old GCN controllers.

The only downside – these aren’t WaveBirds. No wireless for you! To make up for it, the cord has been extended to three meters (about a meter longer than the old GCN controller cords). Perhaps they lost the WaveBird mold after all?

Who knows, but this is still pretty cool news. These white GCN controllers will be released this month in Japan for 2000 yen (about twenty smackers). Hopefully, Nintendo will put a few of these out on our shores, too.

First Soul Eater Media

Posted on Apr 9, 2008 04:54:30 PM

Below is the first screen shots of a title headed to Wii called Soul Eater. Not much is known about the title other than the fact that it comes from the masterminds over at Square Enix. Exciting stuff to say the least and I am very eager to hear more about this new game. Enjoy.

Disaster: Day of Crisis and Mario Baseball Coming In ‘08!

Posted on Apr 9, 2008 04:45:03 PM

Funny thing, Ryan (you should all know who he is if you watch Game On TV) and I were having a conversation as to what Nintendo will give gamers later this year for the all important holiday rush and now it seems like we may have an answer. I am sure we will be getting a version of Animal Crossing for the Wii (pure speculation) later this year but apparently we will also be getting Disaster: Day of Crisis (a new IP from Nintendo) and also Mario Baseball. Check out the quote below:

According to the April 2008 issue of Famitsu (via Everyday Wii), the sequel to Mario Superstar Baseball will launch in Japan on June 19, followed by the release of Disaster: Day of Crisis, also published by Nintendo, on July 3.

Good stuff indeed and I can only imagine that an American release will follow suite. Keep it here gamers.

Bioshock 2 Wii Bound?

Posted on Apr 9, 2008 11:24:33 AM

*RUMOR*- Fans who missed out on one of this generations greatest titles Bioshock may be in luck; there is a RUMOR going around that the inevitable sequel may be headed to a Nintendo Wii near you. I cannot stress enough that this is a rumor gamers but hopefully we will be seeing this stellar title show up on our little white box! Check out the quote below:

Large rumour of the moment: Bioshock 2 could can be to be born on Wii and Playstation 3. Reason of all that: an advertisement of Marine recruitment of developers at 2K, the studio in load of the title in question. The required people must have “experience on Xbox 360, Wii and Playstation 3″.

As always, we will keep our ears to the ground gamers.

Quick Update: Apparently there is going to be a Nintendo Media Summit going on in the next couple of days and we will be by the computers to give you all the updates! I am not expecting anything huge to come out of the event but one never knows. Expect impressions of Nintendo titles (Mario Kart Wii and Wii Fit) but we will keep you all updated if anything happens.
