Get ready guys because I am proud to announce that Replay Saturday is back! Way back in the day (which always falls on a Tuesday), I conjured up an idea of having a day where video gamers around the world dust off a title that they haven’t played in a while and enjoy their “forgotten” gem at least for a days time.

For a while “Replay Saturday” was sweeping the nation but I have seemed to get away from this momentous occasion….Until now! Thank you for the emails asking us to bring back this missed article and I will be sure to keep up on it.

Today’s Replay Saturday game for yours truly: Mario Kart DS!

Mario Kart DS was one of this generations best titles and I am pleased to bring this title “out of retirement”

Lately I have been on a DS kick so I decided it would be a great day for some fun racing in preparation for this month’s Mario Kart release for Nintendo Wii. Mario Kart DS truly is the whole package and is one of the greatest Mario Kart’s to date.

The character models in the game are fantastic and the track designs of this game are some of the best we’ve ever seen. The fact that you can take the race online with gamers around the world really utilizes the DS’ awesome potential and brings the replay value of this game to reach epic proportions; not to mention that you can play locally with others using only 1 cartridge.

Racer of choice: Yoshi.

Weapon of Choice: Red Shell (it’s a classic)

Mario Kart DS is still in my top 5 games on the DS and I will continue to play this game for years to come. There is so much to be said about this game but you know what…I’m going to go and play it.
