My favorite vc game is classic old Super Mario Bros. I love it.
My absolute favorite Virtual Console title so far has been Sin & Punishment. Albeit I’m way behind on WiiWare and VC titles, this game just amazed me the first time I played through it and continued to amaze me on subsequent playthroughs. The gameplay is tight, there’s an actual story that I found pretty interesting, the graphics and style pretty amazing for an N64 title, and come on, it features giant monster battles in Japan for the safety of our lovable planet. What’s not to love about that??
But seriously, this is one of Treasure’s true gems where it’s easy to get through the game just to experience it, but mastering it is a completely different topic. And for a console that has a lot of shooters to download, this one really stands out. I’d love to see it revived with a new entry, but alas, I must settle for the VC version for now.
(P.S. I hope to be around more these days guys!)
Why thank you for coming back good old friend, we missed you. Sin and Punishment was one of those titles that I actually downloaded but never played (I know, I know…)
Thanks for commenting and its great to see you back….Anyone else? A FREE GAME OF CHOICE (vc or WiiWare) is up for grabs people!

My favorite VC game is Devil’s Crush (TG-16), now that’s pinball as it should be - 3 main levels, 6 bonus areas, tons of goblins and a giant scary face in the middle. I can only hope that Hudson will finally announce a US release for the WiiWare remake of Alien Crush, the predecessor to Devil’s Crush.
I love pretty much everything nintendo’s given us on the VC. I really loved Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy Kong’s Quest. I felt it was just an awesome platformer and who doesn’t love the fact that you can play as baby monkeys. And one can fly with her hair! Plus who could keep a straight face when watching the hilarious game over screen.
