**Nintendo Media Coverage Underway…Stay Tuned**
-After months of speculation gamers the media even is finally upon us. I don’t know if you’re like me but I have been up for hours just waiting for this event, so here we go!
Update Galore! (Again spelling and grammatical errors don’t count tonight, got it?!)
-Not wasting any time Nintendo has announced the new DS, called the “Nintendo DSi”. Mr Iwata announces new system
- “We believe this new DS-i will meet the specs previously reported by Nikkei — namely, slightly bigger,built-in camera, SD card support, etc.
-FIRST NEW DS PIC (Thanks purenintendo!!!)
-Apparently the unit will have 2 touch screens and you can manipulate your photo’s via touchscreens.
-The size of the unit has been reduced by 12% and 2.6 millimeters — and the Game Boy Advance cartridge slot is officially gone!
- 17% bigger screens, looks like the device will have 2 cameras, one when flipped open, one on the back when closed
- You’ll be able to purchase and download games to internal memory using “Nintendo Points.”
- DS Browser built-in, DS Virtual Console, DS Ware (Very good stuff indeed). It looks like they are attempting to capitalize on the Wii’s strong points and truly expand the market…
-DSi will be released in white, matte black, and will go on sale November 1 for 18900 yen ($180 U.S.). This is only for Japan.
-The DS portion of the conference is officially over. Now they are showing Wii and DS software in 2008.
-They are now introducing Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Echoes of Time, a game that is playable on both Wii and DS — similar, we suppose, to a title like Four Swords (which we reported earlier today)
-Now they’re showing an “image anime” trailer for Dragon Quest IX.
-Now talking specifically about Wii software.
-To address the lack of Wii system memory, you can now download software directly to the SD memory card. It will also be possible to easily move things from SD card to the Wii memory. That will start spring 2009.
-To increase the ratio of Internet-connected Wiis in Japan, Nintendo is making available a three-minute demo movie with the machine, called “What’s Possible With Wii.”
-Also if you, a Wii owner, help another Wii owner get connected with the Internet, they’ll give you both a free 500 Wii Points in a new campaign (pretty nifty Nintendo).
-Now they are showing an Animal Crossing: City Folk presentation. Can utilize data from the DS version. Miis are also supported.
-There’ll be a version in Japan bundled with Wii Speak. 11/20 for 7,800 yen.
-Talking about Wii Sports Resort and the MotionPlus
A new series of software is coming out called “Let’s Tap.” It’s games like Pikmin that were released on GameCube, adapted for play on Wii. I pray that this isn’t Pikmin 3…
-Punch Out and Sin & Punishment 2 announced for Wii. Another Code (Trace Memory on DS) announced for Wii. (why the heck wouldn’t they show these at E3?!!
-Sengoku Musou 3 (Samurai Warriors 3) will release on Wii.
-Another installment in the “Tales Of” series is coming to Wii. Monster Hunter 3 will also release for the system
-Wii Music…(I didn’t even want to post that…)

-”I wanted to make a game that captures the fun of playing a musical performance or session, so I created Wii Music,” says Miyamoto.
-For all of those who are wondering-Punch Out! Looks AMAZING! It retains the cartoon feel as with the other titles, but looks really polished.
-Click here (It’s all in Japanese) and check out some video’s from today’s show!!!!
-Mario and Luigi 3 apparently true (Picture below)
