Still More Secret Wii Titles?

Posted on Oct 7, 2008 06:46:16 PM

Read this quote and please let me know what you think:

“Umm, I’ll say it was exciting but I can’t tell you what it was. Because I looked around and basically, I said to my boss, ‘Really? Are you serious?!’ and he said ‘Yeah, I’m not kidding.’ So, I’m like ‘oooookay!’ [laughs] So I started doing…something. Something exciting and something unexpected — something completely unexpected.” - JC Rodrigo, Nintendo of America Treehouse division

Thanks Nintendo…even MORE stuff us gamers will be speculating about. I am honestly at a loss as to what the game could be; I am interested in your answers however so hit up the comment section and let us know what you think.

7 Things You Didn’t Know About the Nintendo DSi

Posted on Oct 7, 2008 06:30:13 PM

We all know that the DSi will sell like hotcakes but what you may not know is that the system has many features you may have missed. Below is a list of 7 features that may have gone overlooked by the gaming public but will play an iatrical part of the DSi system. So, without further ado, here is the list:

The first overlooked feature of the DSi system is the inclusion of WPA/WPA2 support. No longer will gamers have to resort to dropping the security of our wireless routers to play some Mario Kart DS matches or trade items on Castlevania titles.

The second feature is the modification of the volume adjuster. It will be replaced with a “rocker” switch similar to the Gameboy Micro. It has also been moved to the left hand side of the DSi.

The third feature is the availability of the infamous Brain Age titles at launch. The will be released as ““Literature” and “Science” editions.

The fourth feature will feature built-in software called Moving Notebook. This software allows the user to create small animated memos, as well as use the internal mic for adding audio. This enw feature is probably my favorite out of the 7 and I cannot wait to test it out!

The fifth feature is the availability of various DSi sound visualizers. While I haven’t seen any cool looking laser beams or volcanic colors flashing around similarly to Windows Media Player or iTunes, the DS will “sport” cute animations such as chicks hatching from eggs or the Excitebike man jumping ramps.

The sixth feature is an additional brightness setting. The DSi will now have five different brightness settings compared to the DSLite handheld’s four settings.

The seventh feature is shorter charge time. The DSi will take only 2.5 hours for a full charge compared to the original DSLite’s 3 hour battery charge (Not a huge change but a welcome change non-the-less).

In case you missed it gamers, the newly announced and highly anticipated DSi will be region locked. Here is the official quote regarding the news:

DSi software (software that is only compatible with DSi) is region locked, eg: European DSi software can only be played on European DSi consoles.

Sorry importers, it looks like we may have to do some heavy modding to get those crazy Japanese titles that we all have come to love.
