Winter: A Title That Needs To Be Released!

This generations clear cut winner thus far is Nintendo’s innovative 5th console, Nintendo Wii. The system continues to dominate at retail and is on pace to surpass the mighty PS2 system in terms of units sold. It is a fact that now 1 in every 4 households has the system and 2009 is shaping up to be one of the Wii’s best years.
For a system that is only 2 years young, it has surpassed all expectations and has consistently been sold out since its monumental release. One of the reasons behind the Wii’s tremendous success has been the release of a plethora of “Casual” games. So called “bridge” titles have also flourished on the system but as more and more “hardcore” players purchase a Wii, we are soon finding out that these much sought after “hardcore” games are few and far between (this year however is looking tremendous in terms of hardcore titles).
Winter, a previously unannounced survival horror title, has recently surfaced but is currently in need of a publisher. For all of those who may not know what the title is, head over to IGN and read all about this impressive Wii exclusive. The title is being described as “a dark storyline that revolved around an isolated heroine in the middle of a mysterious snowstorm, spooky backdrops and gruesome characters and, of course, violence”. Numerous outlets have really gotten behind this title and I am certain that if we spread the word of this potential hit (ie digg this story, post a link on your site) we could actually make this game happen.
The internet has become an amazing weapon to “Get things done” and I know that if gamers unite, especially Nintendo fans, we could make this happen. Game On! Check out the trailer for this game below.
My prediction:
Sega seems to be really bringing some hardcore titles to the Wii as of late…Maybe they will have an involvement in the title’s release. As always, we will make sure to keep you all updated.
It’d be a complete shocker if this game wasn’t released, even from the short video footage you could quite clearly see this game has obvious potential. People need to start taking some action.
