Paint by DS….

Posted on Jan 3, 2008 12:47:35 PM

Calling all of those who cannot draw/paint to save their lives; the DS has got you covered.

Apparently there is a title in development that allows gamers to paint military vehicles on their little 2 screened system. No word on anything about the title but is seems interesting to say the least.

What do you guys think? Bizarre…

Square continues to amaze me with what they can do with the DS. I know it’s all CG but literally Wii games don’t look this good. Thank you Square.

Nanostray 2 Screens

If you have not played the first title in this quality franchise, I urge you to do so as the game is pretty slick. If this is remotely similar to the first one, chalk up another quality title to the mammoth DS library.

Warhammer 40,000: Squad Command

Posted on Oct 14, 2007 02:53:09 PM

IGN has given us a nice hands on review of this upcoming DS game. Here is an excerpt of this aricle…

The missions are all objective based. Some of them are simple, “kill all enemies” missions, while others require the killing of a particular leader, or the capture of certain points. Players command squads of six customizable soldiers through three different terrain types, industrial, desert and ice. We played through a few of the missions, mostly Industrial based, as well as some Desert ones. The game starts off simple, guiding newer players into the experience. We blasted through the level, killing everyone in our path, as per the objective. Enemies used cover and run-and-gun tactics, and seemed to know what they were doing. They didn’t just wait for us to cap them. The enemies did seem a lot weaker than the players however, at least early on, so the actual strategy elements didn’t fully come into play. A quick play through the multiplayer changed that perception. In multiplayer the teams are evenly matched, and the rounds are timed, making the game become extremely strategy based.
