Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days info

Posted on Mar 18, 2008 05:27:00 PM

In my awesome opinion (yes awesome), the Kingdom Hearts series just seems to belong on a Nintendo console. Maybe it’s the fanboy in me craving this quality franchise, but I really do believe that this franchise will do rather well if it’s on Nintendo based system.

When they announced that the unstoppable DS was getting a game from the infamous franchise, I was elated and could not wait to play this one into the wii hours of the mourning. Below are some fresh new details helping us gaze into what could be one of the DS’s biggest titles this year. Enjoy.

R4 in Gamestop Ad

Posted on Feb 18, 2008 12:22:38 PM

Take a gander at the picture above and tell me if you notice anything peculiar. For those who aren’t aware of what R4 is, apparently it’s an application that allows you to play pirated games on your DS system. Interesting indeed….Someone will get fired for this.

Sonic RPG Named?!

A recent US Patent may suggest that the upcoming Sonic RPG may indeed end up with the name “Sonic Chronicles”. Check out the details below:

While Sonic Chronicles could be little more than just another Sonic recompilation, we’re hoping it’s the title for Bioware’s Sonic RPG currently in development at the Canadian outfit.

Further listings hint towards an unknown game titled The Dark Brotherhood, although we’re even more in the dark about this one than Sonic Chronicles.

I think that the name definitely suites the style of game so it may be. As always we will keep you updated.

Update on DS downloding games story

Posted on Jan 4, 2008 05:19:02 PM

A few days ago the New York Times reported that the DS will be able to download full games and demos through the Wii in the future.   It seems that they confused WiiWare with being able to download demos to the ds.

An article about the Nintendo DS video game system in the Dec. 31 Business Day section of the New York Times incorrectly referred to future capabilities of the device. The statement that complete Nintendo DS games will eventually be able to be downloaded into the device via a wireless connection with the company’s Wii game console is incorrect. Users can download games to play on Wii, and, in the future, the Nintendo DS will be able to receive demo versions of some DS games from Wii, but not the entire game. The demo will be erased once the Nintendo DS is turned off.

DS download service is coming!

Posted on Jan 2, 2008 05:03:44 PM
US Nintendo DS owners will soon be able to download DS games through their Wii, Nintendo US boss Reggie Fils-Amie has told the New York Times.

The service will offer both complete games and demos, which will be directly downloaded to Wii via broadband, then wirelessly transmitted to DS.

Additional content for newer titles will also be a possibility, with new puzzles already confirmed for the upcoming Professor Layton.

This is great news! The only thing I’m wondering about is how is the DS going to store this stuff? Blank cartridges? Flash adapter? Those seem like they wouldn’t happen, but what else?

Warhammer 40,000: Squad Command

Posted on Oct 14, 2007 02:53:09 PM

IGN has given us a nice hands on review of this upcoming DS game. Here is an excerpt of this aricle…

The missions are all objective based. Some of them are simple, “kill all enemies” missions, while others require the killing of a particular leader, or the capture of certain points. Players command squads of six customizable soldiers through three different terrain types, industrial, desert and ice. We played through a few of the missions, mostly Industrial based, as well as some Desert ones. The game starts off simple, guiding newer players into the experience. We blasted through the level, killing everyone in our path, as per the objective. Enemies used cover and run-and-gun tactics, and seemed to know what they were doing. They didn’t just wait for us to cap them. The enemies did seem a lot weaker than the players however, at least early on, so the actual strategy elements didn’t fully come into play. A quick play through the multiplayer changed that perception. In multiplayer the teams are evenly matched, and the rounds are timed, making the game become extremely strategy based.
