Final Roster Revealed for Super Smash Bros. Brawl?

Posted on Jan 22, 2008 11:12:59 PM

If the following screens are true gamers, be prepared to be blown away. As if we needed any more reason to feed our need for this game how about 44 of them! 44 looks to be the magic number of characters playable in the new Smash Bros. Brawl, although none of the screens are confirmed as of this point.

Super Smash Bros. Brawl is going to be the pinnacle of what the Wii can truly do and is on everyone’s most wanted list. For now enjoy the RUMORED screens and I will keep you updated if anything changes gamers. March seems so far away now doesn’t it?

The company’s complete statement is as follows:

“The launch date for Super Smash Bros. Brawl has shifted a few weeks to March 9. The development is taking slightly longer than expected. As we’re sure you have seen on the Dojo site (www.SmashBros.com), the game contains an unprecedented number of characters, options and experiences. Be sure to keep an eye on the Dojo site for the latest information.”

…..sniffle sniffle. I guess I can wait 1 more month for the inevitable release of Nintendo Wii’s biggest title but please Nintendo, don’t push it back again. They say patience is a virtue but when it comes to a Super Smash Bros. title, my patience runs thin.

Let’s just hope 1 month doesn’t turn into 3 more. What do you guys think?

Finally!! Olimar in Smash!

Posted on Jan 9, 2008 09:04:26 AM

Ok gamers, normally I do not post Smash updates because we have an automatic updater located on the right side of the site (thank you Kmaxx!), but today’s update makes me filled with joy. Captain Olimar from the AMAZING Pikmin series is making his triumphant debut in the next installment of the Smash Bros. franchise and I couldn’t be any more happier! I applaud Nintendo for including this much needed character and I cannot wait to battle it out with all of you online with the captain!

Anyone else pumped?

The ability to make your own stages in Smash Bros. alone makes me filled with a joy that words cannot describe. Imagine the possibilities gamers. I don’t even know where to begin!

I know this post may seem out of place but I am literally specchless. I am so incredibly excited, I don’t mind the delay anymore! Thank you Nintendo!

Smash Bros. Brawl ONLINE CONFIRMED!

Posted on Sep 18, 2007 07:30:50 AM

wi-fi01_070918a.jpg
There was a ton of people worried that the latest version of Nintendo’s popular fighting franchise Super Smash Bros. would miss out on online battle. Fear not gamers, it is CONFIRMED! Read all the details below and enjoy! I’ll see you online!

This game supports Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection. If you connect your Wii to the Internet, you can enjoy linked battles with distant people!

But because this form of communication is greatly affected by the distance between you and your opponent, your brawls may not run smoothly if you’re really far apart—like, for instance, if you’re connecting between Japan and America.

The more distant you are, the worse your connection becomes, and the slower it feels. I apologize, but I hope you understand.

This is the main menu for Wi-Fi!

There are two primary connection methods. The names of these methods are “With Friends” and “With Anyone.” The menus and structures of each method are pretty different.

With Friends

Wii friends who have registered one another’s names can play together freely.

Register your friends!
If you’re registered as friends, you can check each other’s status. If a friend is online and you earn his or her consent, you can enter a battle.

You can change your icon…
And even send short messages during brawls!

These short messages are entered in advance, and you send them by taunting. There are four messages for the four directions on the + Control Pad: Up, down, left and right.

With friends, you can brawl any way you like. And there are other modes besides just free-for-alls.

With Anyone
You can also battle with people you don’t know who are looking for brawls. The most important point here is that you will not know each other’s names.

If you think of your opponent as a simple scarecrow, any psychological barriers may melt away.

Your opponent will not know your name or any information about you, and neither of you can send short messages. There will also be no battle records kept for this mode, so whether you win or lose, it doesn’t matter. Just sit back and play.

Now, while you’re waiting for a match to start, you can kill time with a little practice on Sandbag.

Practice, practice!
We’re planning a number of services that make use of Wi-Fi, but we’ll reveal them gradually with the other modes. Enjoy.
