2 Million Wii’s Sold?
The Nintendo Wii has been on a roll in regards to sales lately and if the latest rumors pan out to be true, we may have a contender for Next-Gen console supremacy. Codenamerevolution, had the following to report:
VGCharts, a site that has always had stats for past games and console sales, reports that Nintendo has sold 630,000 Wiis in Japan, 960,000 in the Americas and 410,000 in other territories for a total of 2 Million consoles sold. Hopefully Nintendo will confirm this number soon as it would be an amazing start for their 5th console.

More Wii HD Talk
Recently Game Informer spoke with Nintendo about a firmware update to patch the Wii for High-Definition capability. According to Nintendo, currently they have “no plans for HD on the Wii”, however they stated that rival Microsoft was able to patch the 360 to support 1080p, which means that its not entirely impossible. I would persoanlly love to see this hapen and will keep you all updated on the situation.

Wii Sports= Really good!
The following is an excerpt of TIME Magazines report on the Nintendo Wii:
Last Friday, Nintendos new $250 videogame console arrived and in spite of being an admitted non-gamer, I was giddy with anticipation. I actually caught myself dancing a little jigI had presumed that it (Wii Sports) was merely an elaborate demonstration of the Wii Remote, which responds to natural motions rather than arcane button combinations. I discovered quickly that it might be the greatest videogame ever made.
The following night we hosted a dinner party. Though it was conceived without an inkling that the Wii would be in our midst, it became the official activity of the night. We designed hilarious avatars for each partygoerBy the end of the weekend, the little machine had hooked ten people of very different temperaments and interestsI was stunned by its universal appealMy hope is that Nintendo continues to develop games like Wii Sportsits easy to dream up Wii versions of other activities, from fishing to snowmobiling.
Its a shame that Zelda and other visual titles dont get the high-definition treatment they deserveI fear that some people might get real tennis elbow from Wiis virtual Tennis, or even tear a rotator cuff when pitching in Wiis Baseball..I encourage you to go out and get oneJust be careful, because Wii is physical”
Great news for Nintendo. Great news for video games in general. What do you guys think?

Breaking Major News for Wii: Custom Soundtracks Confirmed!
One of the coolest features of the Xbox and the 360 (at least in my opinion), was the ability to play your own custom soundtrack in video games. Recently we reported a rumour about Wii having this feature as well in their upcoming racing game Excite Truck. Well gamers apparently its true according to IGN. The Excite Truck instruction booklet states that you can insert an SD Card filled with your own MP3s and can select up to 100 songs from the SD Card to play during gameplay. A huge added little surprise for gamers and Wii fans. One week left gamers!
